I have crammed so much stuff into October 2010. I do it every year… then I wonder why I am sick as a dog by Halloween weekend.
I went to the pumpkin patch with my cousin.
Then I went again with the Bishops, and stayed for a while longer to hang out with the Gilmore’s.
I went to the Beach with my girl Mandy.
I wrote a Zombie Haiku and went to a Zombie Parade
I watched fewer horror/Halloween movies then I wanted, but did see Clue at the Railroad Park
I hosted a pumpkin carving party and bought a monster to save a little boy.
This past weekend started with me running a fever and fighting a cold. I fought through it so I could hang out with the kid on saturday and go to a party Saturday night…
I can’t wait to tell you and show you the pics I got from Tori’s “secret hangout” (aka, graffiti covered bridge near the railroad tracks.)
For now I will leave you with a few cool costumes from the weekend… I love my friends and their ability to be so dang creative! I always do the same thing!
zombie me after a delicious dinner of BRAAAAIIIINNNSSS (my awesome girl Shandon did my make up and hair. I paid her in sour patch kids):

Mike as a “smash brother”(?) (the hammer throwing turtle guys from Mario Brothers.) He made the costume himself… and Greg who was The Dude.

I met this girl at the 2nd party I went to. That’s a real pregnant belly. brilliant!

and this little one… with the wings. pooped out on the couch mid party!

I love Halloween and I can’t wait for it to come around again next year. a whole year to come up with a creative costume! (I will still end up waiting til the last minute!)

The 6th annual Zombie Parade in Gadsden, AL took place this past Saturday. I have been wanting to attend this event for the past 5 years, and have just never made it.
About 3 weeks ago I was hanging out with a friend and we started talking about it. I looked it up on my oh-so-awesome iphone and immediately put it on my google calendar. It was tentative since I wasn’t sure game time for bama football yet. As a matter of fact, when Rich said “do you want to go?”, I said “I don’t know, let me check the football schedule!”
Last week we found out that bama was playing a super late game, so the Zombie Parade was on! After driving around Birmingham “lost” (I was hung over and my driving skills were not up to par.) for a while and running by Party City for more blood, we headed to Gadsden.
My favorite zombies were the little ones. I think it’s awesome that parents include their children in things like this!

The little girl this doll belonged to wasn’t happy untill she could pour blood on it! (in the background, she was 2 or so!)
(this is also my favorite picture of the day)

I am not sure if I look this way from the make up or the hangover! The blood wasn’t enough, so I ended up getting more after I took this picture.
Rich and I on the hunt for BRAAAAAIIIIINNNNNSSSS!!!!!!

I am now on a mission to have a Birmingham Zombie Parade next year. The parade permit is cheap, and I know a bunch of people who would zombie out for the event! Keep that in your heads, folks, next year we are doing this!

Please go check out my blog buddy, Amy, who got Freshly Pressed today with her awsome zombie haiku blog. It was exactly what I needed to get me in the mood for the Zombie Parade tomorrow and more pumpkin patching on sunday! She has written some awesome haikus and people commenting are coming up with some creative ones too.
I find this month passing me by so quickly, and I haven’t even watched a real zombie movie yet. I think I will have to pregame before the parade with some horribly cheesy movie.
I really don’t have much to say right now, too busy and sleepy. But here is my haiku that Amy inspired! Happy zombie days!
Zombies chase me eek
I am running I am dead
Brains brains I want brains
Can’t wait to be covered in blood and walking the streets of Gadsden tomorrow!

I was blog surfing again… (my new favorite pass time)
I found this one… Shutterboo
(and btw, love it)
Shutterboo told me bacon bandaids and showed me great pics. Then I found this contest to win a Canon 5D Mark II or $2500 in Southwest Airline tickets.
There are some rules and things about how to earn points to be included in the random drawing. This earns me 3 points. I am going to complete several more!
It’s a long shot, but.. hey… why not!
Here is the Epiphanie Bag site. I am going to check it out too. Cute stuff from what I see so far. Considering I just bought my 1st SLR, I will soon be in the market for cute bags to carry it in!
ok… Off to do my other points! Wish me luck.. ha!
